About Me

What Does a Labor and Delivery Nurse Do?

I am that person that brings you to the Labor and Delivery Unit, advocates and supports you during labor, and is your coach when it comes to pushing.

For c-sections, I am the person that meets with you before surgery, is in the operating room with you, and does not leave your side until you transfer into the postpartum phase with your new baby.

A Mission Centered Around Education

My mission is to educate women about their upcoming birth. Whether they have an induction, c-section, epidural, or choose to go natural, I am here to provide high quality information to families on what to expect once they get to the hospital and walk through those doors.

My patients are who inspired me to create this company. I have been a part of hundreds of births and have worked in multiple hospitals and states.

The common themes I have seen around birth are fear, anxiety, and lack of education. Too many times my patients say: "no one told us this", "this isn't like the movies", or "why isn't this talked about". I want you to walk in that labor room to no surprises with a feeling of empowerment and confidence that my course will give you.

Why Choose Me?

Over the years, I have seen a ton of content by "birth specialists", influencers, and doulas that is unsafe or does not align with evidence-based practice, safety of mom/baby, or recommendations of AWHONN. There are many people who, unlike me, do not have the credentials or hospital experience to be teaching and guiding mothers through birth.

I want to give my clients correct information that is safest for themselves and baby. I want them to feel well informed and have no surprises during their birth. Everyone has a different journey that they are on, whether that comes with birth preferences, diagnoses, labor course, and medications. I am here to support and educate on what to expect and is the right fit for you.
